Mpho MASHENGETE - Chairperson
MPHO MASHENGETE is Research and Resource Mobilisation Manager for HOPE Africa where she manages and supports enterprise Development initiatives with several stakeholders such as ministers in government, religious leaders, community leaders and business organisations nationally. She is utilising her skills and experience garnered in the various positions held as CSI coordinator, trainer, marketing manager and teacher, in the Anglican Church environment. Her commitment to social responsibility has led her to serve on the board of many organisations, where she has shared her extensive knowledge and expertise. She is married and has three children. |

Nathea Nicolay
Nathea Nicolay is an actuarial and modelling specialist at Old Mutual Product Solutions designing financial protection products for the Retail Mass Market. She was the convenor of the Aids committee of the Actuarial Society of South Africa from 2009 until 2012. Prior to joining Old Mutual, Nathea was the programme director for Health at the Metropolitan Foundation and managed AIDS Risk Consulting at Metropolitan from 2005 until 2009. She has completed many studies on the impact of HIV and Aids for the World Bank, the SA Government and private institutions. She holds a B Comm in mathematics from the University of Stellenbosch and a B Comm (Hons) in Econometrics from the University of Johannesburg and is an Associate member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa. She is passionate about the upliftment of women and children and lives in Cape Town with her husband and two sons. |
Tersia Mdunge
A social worker by profession furthered her studies in psychology and went on to complete a management programme at the University of Stellenbosch. She is currently the Corporate Social Investment Manager at Santam, where she spearheads a team which promotes a culture of volunteerism amongst employees.

Jackie StemmersJackie Stemmers is a Consultant on various HR and Training related projects. She has approximately 20 years’ experience working in the Talent, Skills Development and Learning areas within Old Mutual SA with further experience in the NGO sector where she worked as a Programme Manager and within Skills Development when she worked for both the Transport and Insurance Sector Education Training Authorities (SETA’s).
She has extensive experience in Learning and Skills Development having worked across different fields- Insurance Industry, NGO Sector and the Sector Education Training Authorities. She has also managed major projects when working in the Insurance industry and for the SETA’s and has Programme Management experience that was obtained while working in the NGO sector. She also currently offers professional services that relates to the Coaching, Mentorship and Development of professionals.
She has extensive experience in Learning and Skills Development having worked across different fields- Insurance Industry, NGO Sector and the Sector Education Training Authorities. Loretta Joseph
LORETTA JOSEPH has been involved in community development work for over 30 years. Her initial love for community work started when she got involved in church base youth movements with faith leaders and nuns in the Catholic Church. It was in her role as Public Relations Officer, which involved her researching issues affecting youth, especially young females, which ignited her love for women’s work. This resulted in her initiating a housewives group in her community under the auspices of the South African Unions for Housewives (SAUH) In 1998 she received the first Anne Hope Award from the Wheat Trust for community builder and the bursary allowed her to further her studies in Development Education. 2001 she was employed full time by Aids Response and piloted the program under the leadership of Sally Timmel and the late Mizana Matiwana. Loretta’s deep passion for local housewives led her to start her own organization called Women Empowered Committed Against Negativity (WE CAN) This experience has been an exciting journey which has equipped her with many skills which she is able to use to support women’s groups in local communities.
