Grantees
This section of the website aims to show the reader the practical work and progression that WHEAT and her grantees continue to make in the grassroots communities. Our information is gathered through a variety of methods, namely: site visits; convenings; word of mouth/testimonials; consistent record keeping; photography and video footage; success stories mainly compiled telephonically; feedback forms and reports amongst others.
We believe that this material will highlight the women leaders as well as organisations that are the drivers of change in their communities, and that continue to defend the human rights of women.
Through our various activities, we come to understand the real needs of the women as opposed to their perceived needs. Through our work women have found their voice, developed leadership abilities and gained power; this section tells that story.
Lastly, this section of the website increases accountability by showing our donors what WHEAT has achieved with their contributions. All these stories are told thanks to those who have become part of the culture of giving and donated to the WHEAT Trust.
